Life is not long enough.
Data suggests an average person has visited 7 countries by the end of their life. Whether it’s a neighboring country or another one on the other side of the globe.
When I heard of this number, a question pops in my head. If you can only choose seven countries to visit, what would it be? Will it be a tropical paradise like Maldives? Or a culture rich country like India?
Whatever your choice may be, I know mine will [probably] not be the same. But, what if you have no idea where to go? Well, good news! I have several recommendations for ya’!
If one hear the name ‘Greece’, he/she would automatically think of Greek mythology. Frankly, it is what makes this country stand out out from the rest. The country is clattered with remnants of ancient civilization.
However, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sure, some people might hate going on a holiday just to have another history class. But, if you’re like me and are obsessed with Greek mythology, you’ll know this will be an interesting ride.
Besides, there’s Santorini for those who prefers a relaxing holiday. 😉
For me, China is one of those countries that offers everything. From delicious culinary, rich culture, even landmarks!
You can do sorts of activities. Whether it’s walking in The Great Wall. Watching a street performance. Or simply slurping noodles in an alley. You won’t run out of activities for quite a while.
United Emirates Arab
Some of you might think UEA is a country at crisis and war, it’s actually very safe. Before I watched the episode where “Running Man” visit Dubai, I thought so too. But, when I finally google it up, what I saw was a very astounding country.
One thing that surprises me, was the fact that gold is sold on vending machines on the streets. Crazy, right?
And if that isn’t alluring enough, Dubai also has the busiest airport in the world. You can also skydive at Palm Jumeirah. Or ride a natural roller coaster by going through sand dunes!
But, wait! Don’t book your plane just yet. Try to go on New Year’s Eve. The fireworks in Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is absolutely stunning, even in the borders of a screen.
United States of America
Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to visit the US for a number of reasons. Even though I know nothing about USA, I still wanted to visit it.
Now, that I’ve grown up, I’m intrigued to experience the Metropolitan life, New York has to offer. To experience the feeling of being surrounded by Hollywood stars in LA. And maybe even being a cowboy in Texas – don’t judge me.
Hearing the name France, you’re automatically reminded of Paris, commonly known as “The City of Love”. With a name like that, you’d thought Paris would be amazing for honeymoon. And it is!
The Eiffel Tower is the perfect place to take couple pictures. For wine snobs, you can taste various kinds of wine in France. And for art lovers, admire the original “Mona Lisa” painted by Leonardo da Vinci at The Louvre.
But, don’t frown if you still haven’t found “the special one”. French culture, cuisine, and general vibe of Paris are enough reasons for you to visit.
Personally, I think Japan is a peculiar country that’s unlike any other. Usually, when a country is introduced to technology, the country’s original culture would start to fade. However, this phenomenon didn’t happen in Japan.
Tech and culture are very different things. But, Japan manages to incorporate both to every aspects of their lives. One day, they would be praying at a temple. Another day, they would play a game all day. A special country, indeed.
There’s so much reason why I think UK should be on top of your list of places to travel to. I love the fact that London incorporates modern and ancient landmarks and make it so close from one landmark to another.
What would be those landmarks, anyway? Well, there’s too many to write! There’s Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, The Thames, Abbey Road, Harry Potter’s World, to name a few.
That concludes my list of countries I want (or have) visit. What country do you want to visit the most? Tell me in the comments below!
